Case Western Reserve University School of Law is a private law school located in Cleveland, Ohio. The school was established in 1892 after Franklin Thomas Backus's widow donated $50,000 to found it, and it was initially named in his honor. As one of the first schools accredited by the American Bar Association, it maintains membership in the Association of American Law Schools.
