Cookies & local storage
OpenJurist uses a small, deliberate set of browser cookies and local storage. None of them are used for advertising or cross-site advertising tracking. Most exist only to make the site work and remember your preferences; we also use privacy-respecting usage analytics. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture. The cookies and storage we use:
- Session cookie — set only if and when you sign in to an account (via
nuxt-auth-utils). It keeps you logged in between pages. If you never sign in, it is never set. color-modecookie — remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme so the site loads the right one.i18n_localecookie — remembers your language preference so the site displays in the language you picked.oj-a11y(browser local storage, not a cookie) — stores your accessibility preferences from the panel in the footer (text size, high contrast, readable font, reduced motion). This stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.oj-consentcookie — remembers your cookie choice (for visitors in the EU/EEA/UK, whether you accepted or declined analytics) so we don't ask again on every page. It records only that preference.- Google Analytics cookies (
_gaand related) — privacy-respecting usage analytics so we can see which pages are used and improve the site. Not used for advertising. In the EU/EEA/UK these load only after you accept; everywhere you can opt out via Google's browser add-on. See the Privacy Policy.
We keep this list current as the site evolves. If we add or remove a cookie, this section is updated to match.
Disclaimer of warranties
This site and its contents are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. Your use of the site is at your own risk.
Changes to these terms
OpenJurist is an active rebuild. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
