The Michigan State University College of Law is a public law school located in East Lansing, Michigan. Originally established in 1891 as the Detroit College of Law, it was the first law school in the Detroit area and the second in Michigan. The institution operated as an independent law school until 1995, when it affiliated with Michigan State University, and relocated to East Lansing in 1997.

In 2018, Michigan State University's board voted to fully integrate the College of Law into the university, completing its transition from a private, independent institution to a public law school. This integration was finalized in 2020. The school enrolls approximately 784 students.
